Since the mid of 2014, global
oil prices witnessed significant
developments with continuous
decline following 3 years of relative
stability of the oil barrel price around
$100. This has triggered concerns and
questions over the reasons behind
the oil losing its par value in a very
short time within no more than 4
months. It also raised questions over
the potential implications of these
developments for the global economy
in general and the oil producing and
