US tight oil production

In August 2016, US tight oil production decreased by 116 thousand b/d

or 2.5% comparing with the previous month level to reach 4.555 million b/d,

representing a decrease of 735 thousand b/d from their last year level. The US

oil rig count increased by 33 rig comparing with the previous month level to

reach 333 rig, a level that is 255 rig lower than last year, as shown in

table (3)
