2. Developments in Arab Countries
Total primary distillation capacity of refineries in the Arab states
in 2012 remained unchanged from its level in 2011.
Total primary distillation capacities of the 51 oil refineries in
OAPEC member countries accounted for 7.176 million b/d, or
90.3% of the total primary distillation capacity of the Arab countries
amounting to 7.948 million b/d. Total primary distillation capacity at
the 11 oil refineries in other non-OAPEC Arab countries accounted
for the remaining 772,000 b/d, or 9.7%, of the Arab total.
